What SCOPE International promotes…

Food Security

Food Security and nutrition is one of the projects launched by SCOPE. The Pig Business model is sustainable with one pig having two cycles in a year. It can be argued that one pig can give birth to a minimum of 12 and maximum of 30 piglets.
Joseph has donated a piece of land in the ancestral home in Sigomre, Siaya County, Kenya to support training of poor rural households in pig farming with a good to help them bring food on the table. Four farmers have been identified for training and at the end of the training 2 pigs will be donated to each farmer to fatten and grow the pigs. The targeted farmers are a single mother, 2 teenage head of households, and a farmer with polio disability. Details of this model are available on request.
You can support a farmer for training by donating $15 and this will pay for farmer stipend to attend training for one month.
